Pool Arts

“Pool Arts, the organisation, is a work of art in its own right, that is constantly evolving and adapting itself to create opportunities for artists who may otherwise find themselves isolated or excluded – it asks who an artist might be today”

Alison Kershaw is working with Pool Arts to secure permanent studio space for members and to continue to grow and develop the organisation, initiate exhibitions, training and other projects together with the members and trustees.

transition - arts programme at Victoria Baths Manchester

The arts programme at Victoria Baths offers artists opportunities at all levels of experience to develop site related or site specific projects, commissions, self funded exhibitions, performance, music and research& development.

The commissioned programme of contemporary art has been co-ordinated and curated by Alison Kershaw since 2003, in collaboration with Victoria Baths Trust. The transition arts programme is a result of an intensive research project and exhibition during The Year of The Artist Residency 2000, and the resulting exhibition Remember to Breathe, by Alison Kershaw and Pool Arts.
