Curating

Since 2002, curatorial work has included Manchester Victoria Baths' transition arts programme; including work with Tod Hanson, Ellie Harrison, Humberto Velez, Claudia Pilsl, Joanna Karolini, Lizzie Hughes, Steph Gil, Hafsah Naib, Liz Lock & Mishka Henner, Walker & Bromwich, Michael Pinsky and Ally Wallace
amongst others.

Curated projects now also include regular exhibitions and projects in collaboration with St Lukes Art Project and Pool Arts / the SHED gallery in Manchester.


Ally Wallace: Stuck Cities 2008 at Victoria Baths

In 2008-2009 Alison conceived and curated I dont know about community networks but I know what I like....working with artists Grennan & Sperandio, William Titley, Jo Lewington, Joe Richardson, Jil Moore, Andrew Wilson and Hafsah Naib. This multi-sited project showing contemporary artists response to community networks and local structures led to an exhibition in a collaboration with Castlefield Gallery, Manchester; One and All in April 2009.

Alison Kershaw has been curating and coordinating exhibitions and projects since 1986. One of the first projects, was an unusual site related exhibition in St Mawes Castle, in collaboration with artist led group Compass in Falmouth Cornwall. She also curated and a film programme about learning disability "Come as You Are" for a local Hospital.
